AMD has announced the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX-Series CPUs, which will be available to DIY consumers, SI partners, and OEM partners like as Dell Technologies, HP, and Lenovo later this year.
AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000
The AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX-Series processors build on the previous generation’s unparalleled performance and enhanced platform capabilities for the workstation sector. Built on the industry-leading 5nm “Zen 4” architecture, this generation outperforms the competition in demanding professional applications and complicated multitasking workloads like Revit model development.
The most cores of any workstation processor for complex simulation, generative design, rendering, and software compilation tasks, Threadripper PRO processors offer up to 96 cores and 192 threads for multithreaded workloads. Users can observe up to two times faster performance in tools like Chaos V-Ray.3. For workloads requiring high memory capacity and bandwidth, Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX-Series CPUs also have up to 384MB of L3 cache in addition to eight channels of DDR5 memory.
These processors are available through OEM and SI partners, with some models also hitting the channel. AMD continues to work with ISV partners to support these processors, optimizing performance for a variety of workloads. With AMD PRO technologies, these processors offer a full range of features that are crucial for contemporary businesses.
With the highest clock rates possible for a Threadripper CPU and the ultimate overclockable high-end desktop experience, the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000 Series represents the return of Threadripper to the high-end desktop market. The revolutionary “Zen 4” design and 5nm technology, which are offered through SI partners and the DIY market, optimize power, performance, and efficiency.
Designed to provide desktop users with strong I/O, the Threadripper 7000 Series offers up to 48 PCIe Gen 5.0 lanes for storage, graphics, and other applications. The Ryzen Threadripper 7000 Series CPUs’ quad-channel DDR5 memory controller, with twice the memory bandwidth of standard dual-channel desktop systems, can handle even the busiest operations.
